Jan 2023 - Present
Undergraduate researcher in the J. Morris lab. Research involves investigating molecular tools and approaches to targeting the pathogenic free living amoeba Nagleria fowleri (“brain eating amoeba”), the causative agent of the nearly uniformly fatal primary amebic meningoencephalitis (PAM). Elucidation of gene function has the goal of identifying potential drug targets for treatment of infections with the amoeba. Undergraduate researcher in the J. Morris lab.
