Melek Güneş
During her volunteering at CRIJ Grand Est, Greta was a real support. She fulfilled the tasks assigned to her in an autonomous way. In particular, she set up the actions of the Europe Direct Center of Reims (EDIC) with different audiences and undertook different tasks related to European themes. Very motivated in all the tasks she undertook, she showed a real interest in European affairs. She has also demonstrated strong language skills and a very good ability to communicate in French. She has great qualities such as organization, hardworking, communication and a strong knowledge of the European Union. It was a real pleasure to work with Greta.

The European public policy conference is an event funded by the IPLI foundation and completely run by Hertie students, who every year gather and decide on a theme, a location, a date, and a format. The overarching theme for EPPC 2023 is Europe in the Face of Crisis. Together with the other members of the content team, I am in charge of the development of the conference in terms of speakers and activities. As volunteer within the framework of the European solidarity corps I performed several tasks. I promoted European mobility programs in high schools and facilitated sessions about EU history and actions in middle schools; I wrote articles about European news; I provided peer to peer support (how to find a project, how to maximise CVs and applications etc.) to perspective ESC volunteers, I created support material for social media and presentations.
