Gregory worked for the Woodstown-Pilesgrove School District for 11 years. I became Superintendent during his last year. He was non-renewed for budgetary reasons. By all accounts of the supervisors and colleagues that worked with Greg he was considered to be a knowledgeable, competent and loyal employee.

As a realtor back in 1990 Greg helped me set up some basic forms for use on my computer.....it was a life saver in terms of my time .....a few years later he was called upon to set up the community website and is still doing that for the Borough of Woodstown........Greg's experience of more than a decade in the higher education technical field make him an expert in solving YOUR computer and technical issues...........be certain to put his number on "speed dial" !

Responsible for all technology in the school district for 11 years. I was laid off, and the position eliminated due to budget cuts.

    • Technology Coordinator
      • Jan 1999 - Jun 2010

Managed technology staff of both students and adults. Created an environment where everyone worked together.Increased total number of computers from 400 to over 1600 creating an almost one-to-one ratio of computers to students. Implemented a one-to-one laptop initiative in the HS, whereby, eventually, each student would have their own machine. The book is slowly being replaced by the computer. Manage 8 Windows 2003/2008 Servers. Created full Windows 2008 Domain with active directory environment from the ground up. With group policies, I could take control of any computer in the district and manipulate it any way I deemed necessary. I had the ability to install programs remotely, block access to control panels, reset the clocks, manage all updates, replicate files across servers, etc. From my office, I had full control over those machines.I also ran 4 Fedora Linux servers. For just the cost of the hardware to put them on, I had 4 full Linux web servers running. These servers provided not only secure websites (virtually impervious to virus attacks), but also such applications as a listserv, Word Press Blog, PodCast Server, and Maintenance tracking system. All were acquired legally for free thanks to the creation of the GPL. I am also versed in nearly every other flavor of Linux including Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, etc. Also several varieties of Unix such as Open BSD and Solaris.Created and administered district-wide technology budget each year. Responsible for the sourcing purchase of all PCs and Servers. By using all of my knowledge and resources, I am able to save the district thousands of dollars a year.Implemented training course for new employees - speeding their integration into their new learning environment. As a NJ certificated teacher, I also carry the unique ability to be able to talk to and teach any one of any age.Much more..but text clipped by program Show less
