• Primary responsibility involved adjudicating multi-million dollar administrative enforcement proceedings involving many of the largest energy companies in the country. Duties included ruling on discovery and other pre-trial matters, convening evidentiary hearings, and writing the agency's final decision on the merits. • All decisions and orders of the OHA were reported in the agency’s official reporter, DOE Reports, and the Federal Energy Guidelines, which is published by the Commerce Clearinghouse and distributed widely throughout the legal profession. • Decisions rendered involved complicated factual, legal, and policy issues and required extensive research and careful analysis of expert testimony and several established the leading precedent in its area of the agency’s jurisprudence.
