Worked on rotation on the Transocean Equinox drilling for Equinor on the troll field. The work has involved re-entry & abandonment of existing wells to successfully drill extended reach multi-lateral wells. Took part in three branches which have been consecutive record breakers for TD & Open Hole Length on troll field at over 8,500 meters & 6500 m respectively. The key challenge on Troll field is logistics due to the volume of mud lost downhole on a daily basis due to extremely low pore pressures & large numbers of well crossings. Took part on Maersk Intrepid’s challenging HPHT drilling on Martin Linger field fully utilising MPD to drill underbalance & experienced Caesium Formate reservoir section supporting Sinomie. Experience on Johan Sverdrup drilling platform drilling taking returns of highly volatile clays, then conventional wells through to completion with NaCl Packer Fluid & 1.12 sg. Drilling of Exploration wells for Chrysaor/OKEA in challenging wells on the COSL Innovator. Key issues on this project were: Pit management & extremely unstable formations. Additionally, took part in a short well workover project to replace collapsed production tubing on troll field & drilling of phase 3 gas wells; and well abandonments on Veslefrikk. Show less

Provided analytical expertise to evaluate the designs of sandscreen packers. Throughout this, I had been tasked with running 8 simulations to assess the designs in a variety of completion fluids and loads induced by pressure and temperature.  Monitoring of nearby injectors and producers during a workover of a spine well to determine if any damage is being caused to the formation.  The goal was to provide 24 hour coverage of 14 wells and injectors and determine the reasons for any changes in BHP, BHT, THP, CHP, Choke, THT and gas lift rates.  End of shift reports were required to be sent onshore and in the event where it seemed formation damage had occurred, a call was made on shore to make a decision on how to continue the operation to prevent.  Sat in on the morning calls to establish the daily tasks and determine where any issues might arise in the operations.  Kept close communication with the HBC and HDA CCRs, alongside the rig team on the energy endeavour with ongoing operations to determine why anomalies occurred before alerting the office.  Had an added piece of work going on in a nearby well to keep an eye on, which involved keeping close contact with the team on the GDF Monarch to ensure that formation damage was minimised.
