Lutheran Hour Ministries is an outreach ministry organization founded by the International Lutheran Laymen's League, the 99-year-old grassroots auxiliary of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. The organization has its roots in 'The Lutheran Hour,' an evangelistic Christian radio program that first aired in 1930. 'The Lutheran Hour' can still be heard on more than 1,400 stations across the U.S. and Canada, earning it the distinction of being the longest-running Christian radio program in the world. LHM international ministry centers share the Gospel in more than 30 countries. In the United States, LHM partners with congregations of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in planning and conducting outreach efforts in their own communities. Show less

Siboney Learning Group was the publisher of Orchard, a K-12 software system designed to provide state-correlated assessment and instruction as well as management and reporting of performance data. Siboney was also the publisher of PracticePlanet, a subscription-based online academic test practice resource. My role was to produce content for fliers, brochures, web resources, white papers, press releases, and presentation visuals. I also prepared proposals in response to education agency RFPs and product submittals for industry awards (we won four awards in 2007 are were finalists for four awards in 2008). My job with Siboney ended in April 2008 when Siboney was forced to lay off approximately a third of its work force. Siboney has ceased to exist as a corporation; what remains of its main product is now Orchard Learning (www.orchardlng.com). Show less
