I had the pleasure of working with Greg when he was a student at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work. His collaborative skills helped him to become a true leader among his peers in his own college as well as those with whom he worked in the health professions colleges. His ability to think critically and multi-systematically will be valuable to any who are lucky enough to work with him now and in the future.

Understanding the efficiency of bar organization and operation is more than essential in this role. Next in importance for me was the continued learning of working with people outside of my skillset. There was and is still always something to be learned. My added expertise in mixology, bartending and customer service proved more valuable than I initially expected. Rising up through the ranks, I've been granted opportunities to work at high level events and weddings that have allowed me to cater my strengths and knowledge to varying audiences as well as learn a great deal about the spirits that I work with every day. I continue to utilize the skills and knowledge I have gained from my trainings and events to understand how to be a better bartender, coworker and influence in this industry. Show less

From running drinks and food to preparing the cocktails and ensuring the ingredients for them were ready, customer service was essential. As a team we worked to ensure that the needs of each seat in the bar was taken care of at all times. To make this happen I communicated with coworkers as effectively as possible and came in early to make sure we were ready for business when doors opened. Outside of service and prep for service, understanding brands and being able to upsell or offer new products/cocktails to broaden the consumer's horizons was essential, not only to enlighten guests, but deliver the experience expected of a Bourbon Review Top 100 Whiskey Bar in the United States.
