SCA was active in all aspects of student life including writing policy proposals to the Head of School regarding schedule, dress code, and in the hiring of a new upper-school head in 2012.Promoted over $10k in events each year from budget and fundraising. As advisor, I supported SCA in school wide elections and oversaw bi-weekly meetings. Implemented the SCA retreat each fall to build cohesiveness among the students serving on the SCA. The theme for my course was "Defining American Liberty" in order to examine the overarching ethos and struggles faced in becoming a democratic nation for the diverse population of the country between 1776 and the Civil Rights Movement.
