  I was with Pead PR for two years. PR's a game where having a working knowledge of journalism has helped a lot. I know what a story is, I know why a journo should be interested and I know how to pitch so they swing hard at it. It also helps knowing most of the people still in the news game too I guess.   Senior role running Nightline and Sports Tonight. Responsible for editorial direction of the shows, edited all journalist copy, wrote all presenter voiceover and ran on-air presentation with director and crew. Took Nightline through the Christchurch quake, Pike River and the Japanese Tsunami. One of the best professional experiences of my life. Good talented people that work hard and play hard. Hi-lights probably making a show called 'Ocean Zoo' out of Australia, 'Hope in Hell' with the International Committee of the Red Cross - Africa, Asia, Europe, America, and a big reality show called 'Castaway' for the BBC. A journalist is seldom a master of anything but the good ones are smart, agile and confident. I loved my time on camera with TVNZ - it set me up to get to where I am now.
