My role was the maintenance of computer systems throughout Manchester Airport. Working in shifts as a team we repaired faults with equipment on the ARINC MUSE system on checkin, departure gates and offices. We also maintained the Manchester Airport Information System Kiosks (MAISY) as well as several privately owned networks within the airport. Maintenance included repairing pc’s & peripherals on-site, communicating with airline host systems and recovering file servers and gateways should they fail. I had produced training courses for engineers and ran courses for system users. I also produced icons and graphics for the ARINC MUSE system worldwide as well as a HTML based information application for Manchester Airport Engineers.
