  Overhauled and enhanced legacy code written in RPG, COBOL, and CL on the iSeries (AS/400). The purpose was to facilitate the migration from green-screen applications to graphical user interface (GUI). Most of the legacy code was generated in the CASE tool called Synon (or CA 2E).   CVS Caremark is the largest pharmacy health care provider in the United States providing pharmacy benefit management services through over 7000 stores across 41 states. In my role within production support for the RxClaim application I completed coding and unit testing that involved a CASE tool originally called Synon and now goes by CA 2E. The applications were highly customized and also involved development in RPGLE, Cobol and CL. I was recognized for remaining calm under fire during weekend on-call responsibilities. I saved the company money by resolving production support issues that impacted any service-level agreements or penalties. After moving from support into development I became more involved in code reviews, database design, and writing technical documents. Show less

  AIT is a privately held transportation and logistics company with offices in 36 cities. My main responsibilities involved: Using TrustedLink iSeries Visual Mapper, created translation maps for the following X12 transaction sets: 204, 210, 214, 824. Developed all associated EDI documentation. Held discussions with trading partners and AIT's agents to determine communication protocols (AS2/FTP), and customized EDI mapping requirements for both inbound and outbound transactions.
