The fiber to the Home project (FTTH) was a 100% fiber solution focused on the most densely populated areas within Barbados and offering the highest quality Broadband, IPTV and Fixed line services. As project manager, I successfully delivered on schedule a modern 100% fiber network with a capacity for approximately 90,000 homes and 2000 businesses in both residential and metropolitan areas of Barbados. The project solution leveraged global positioning technologies for accurately mapping structures, while utilizing modern technology systems for the delivery of services over the network. The project team comprised of a large multi-skilled group with the experience and competencies necessary for integrating the IPTV, Broadband and Fixed line services over fiber. Although the FTTH project was primarily the delivery of a hundred percent fiber network there were a number of complimentary sub-projects which included refurbishment of eight retail stores, fabrication of a caravan and sourcing and delivery of twenty-seven service and maintenance vehicles.
