Replace Cisco AGS routers and various vendor switching infrastructure in 180 Department of Defense Hospitals and Clinics world wide. Replacement routers were generally Cisco 7200 series routers. Switches were generally Cisco 5000 series, OMNI 9 series and some other vendor switches selected by individual site preference. We also installed various security packages (firewall and intrusion detection) We traveled to each site to document the existing site using Visio, AutoCad drawings, photographs, packet analyzer files and cable test results. We also evaluated and documented the site's compliance with Ansi standards and DoD standards such as for temperature, humidity, dust, penetration seals and grounding. We then architect-ed and oversaw installation of an upgraded infrastructure to include any required compliance fixes. The new infrastructure package included documentation for the existing and new structure, machine configurations, hardware and wiring.
