Buildings I was responsible for on the project included Dump hopper building and control room, 4 Substations, train provisioning building, 3 administration buildings, including attached workshops and Fuel bund. Additional to these buildings I took on the ventilation and dust suppression elements of the project which supplied and cleaned the air under ground in the dump hopper.Responsibilities on Project• Procurement of all trades including letting tender packages, subcontractor interview, negotiations, assessment and recommendations to the project manager. Letting of the contracts, documentation of variations and their administration • Provide short and long term programs including status reports for both client and internal reviews. • Raise and respond to subcontractor RFI's• Ensure that all design complies with the clients brief and report directly to the project manager • Maintain flow of information between contractors, ensuring a co-ordinated approach to minimise delay. • Co-ordinate directly with electrical engineers on the commissioning procedures and eventual commissioning of the ventilation and dust suppression systems • Procure the letting and acceleration of the coal sampler package.• Comply with the Abigroup quality assurance systems to document elements throughout the construction. • Maintain and ensure all workers in my areas comply with commissioning procedures typically used on industrial sites. • Evaluate and co-ordinate subcontractor safety plans/work method statements ensuring that all relevant paper work is in place. • Responsible for all BCA compliance certificates and complete BCA certification by independent certifier.
