Led Dominion's team in a joint venture partnership to market and secure $100 million design/build contract for GM Place (now Roger's Arena) home of the NHL Vancouver Canucks and NBA Vancouver Grizzlies. Acted as Design Team Manager throughout the project, negotiated and awarded major sub-contracts, responded to Owner Requirements and reported regularly to the joint venture senior management. Entire facility design and built in 22 months. Senior Project Manager appointed to Pacific Press to oversee the complete design, construction, equipment procurement, installation and commissioning of the $150 million newspaper production facility for the Vancouver Sun and The Province (daily circulation in excess of 300,000 copies). Project completed on a fast-track basis to meet press delivery and start-up dates that Client was contractually obligated to achieve with German press manufacturer. Achieved "industry best" start-up on time and several million dollars under budget in less than 18 months. Other projects included CNIB Vancouver Office, Canada Trust Office Tower, Saskoil Office Tower, Regina Field House, United Way Headquarters, City of Port Moody City Hall and Library, and Tower Parkade. Bayside Mall and Gold Square were completed in the retail sector. Manufacturing plants include Phillips Cables in Moosejaw, Canron's Steel Plant on Annacis Island, and the Stanley Door Systems Plant. Warehouse projects include Ford's New Holland Distribution Centre in Saskatoon and Roland Music in Richmond. In excess of 200,000 sq.ft. of office and retail leasehold improvements have been completed, as well. Track record of projects completed on schedule and within budget. Show less
