      Overall job purpose:To take commercial responsibility for analysing, preparing, pricing and submitting tenders across the business unit/division to maximise both turnover and profitability. To build positive relationships and influence at senior level both internally and with clients. Preparation of pricing documents and the formatting of these documents into the standard layout i.e. estimating software or traditional full analytical breakdown.Submitting tender and breakdown to client and responding to any necessary queries & ensure estimate files are maintained accurately. Liaising with other parts of the division such as operations team regarding programme analysis and surveyors during the progress of the works. Continually seeking opportunities to enhance relationships and service provision to clients.

      My initial role within this position was to provide direct assistance to the mechanical & electrical engineers on a daily basis. This included carrying out tasks such as preparing specifications, schedules calculations & inputting sketches/drawings into electronic (CAD) format. As I have progressed within the company as a junior mechanical design engineer, more responsibility has been handed my way, attending site meetings/ snagging as well as design team & progress meetings, gaining valuable communication experience.The jobs which I have worked on vary from: Recycling Plants, Industrial Warehouses to Student Accommodations, Hotels, Schools & Office Blocks. All projects coming with their own unique challenges. This only enhancing my knowledge and skills within the industry.I am now expected to produce full mechanical packages including heating, drainage, ventilation, water services drawings as well as contribute towards mechanical specifications on small to medium sized commercial, residential and educational projects with minimal assistance.
