Worked as a field engineering intern on the N.C. 12 Rodanthe Bridge Project, a $145 million "jug handle" bridge located in the outer banks of North Carolina. Responsibilities/experiences included testing and assisting with concrete pours for structural bridge components, placement of 72" FIB Girders, inspection of precast concrete components (54" piles, 72" FIB Girders, deck panels), the driving of 54" precast concrete piles, material requisitions, concrete quantity takeoffs, development of workplans, and general construction management/coordination.

Civil Engineering Intern

Worked as a Field Engineering Intern on the Reedy River Basin Sewer Tunnel Project, a $46 million tunneling project based out of Greenville, South Carolina. Responsibilities included site monitoring, daily logs, data acquisition for concrete pours, quantity takeoffs, monitoring dynamite blasting, and tracking quantities. Gained valuable experience working with tunneling, excavation, concrete formwork, site plans, submittals/RFI's, safety training, and a variety of software including Bluebeam, Excel, GIS, and Prolog.
