Assigned to the Martial Arts and Boxing arena, I was assigned various roles every day. These were mainly acting as an information point, crowd control, ticket collection and assigning seats. I was lucky enough to have worked in the VIP section where the athletes and their families were seated. This was an amazing experience working at a large International event where I worked along side people of all walks of life volunteering to ensure the success of the Olympics 2012. Gym Assistant/ Instructor
-
Jan 2011 - Jul 2012
I began this job as an assistant but while filling in for an Instructor the manager realised my natural ability to teach and instruct a class. This began my path to learning from the other instructors as I continued to teach my own classes on a daily basis. My other roles were selling memberships, giving member inductions and outlining personal workouts for clients. We were also involved with the Belfast City Council in a programme known as Healthy families where we helped families change their lifestyles by getting fitter and eating healthier.
