Providing quality training and support for the staff at Norbain SD Ltd, on their business software, including MS Office, SharePoint, Strategix (ERP) and bespoke software.Designed and produced materials from scratch to support a training schedule across the companies multiple sites delivered by multiple trainers. Concentrating on delivering training to improve the users efficiency, and provide new starters with skills and knowledge to use the ERP system. Effective delivery of training throughout the company via classroom and 1-2-1 sessions.Development of online help systems to support users. Created in RoboHelp the help system provided a user friendly source of information to reduce the number of support calls as well as a backup to training.Provided configuration advice to the technical team during the development of the new working platform, rolled out this summer. As a subject expert tested the configuration for usability and functionality.Developed the companies Portal, defining structure and content to meet the provided specification. Once in place and operational had the responsibility of identifying new projects to improve the companies efficiency through better collaborative working.Successfully completed a number of projects involving Excel and VBA to improve the data collection and presentation of business data from SQL databases.

Providing quality onsite training mainly for QinetiQ\DSTL (Formerly DERA). Packages taught include Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint and FrontPage, as well as bespoke software developed by the client.Working with client successfully developed customised web page creation training for Exxon. Resulting in the implementation of a team of editors who were able to produce an intranet site for the Fawley refinery, conforming to the Exxon standards.Produced and delivered a range of courses to meet the IT requirements of a NVQ management course for Southampton Chamber of Commerce.Learnt and trained other Amey staff on their electronic document management system. Negotiated with system manager on course content and objectives, as well as production of training materials.Produced housekeeping utilities for use in the training rooms to ease the trainer’s administration. Used Visual Basic and skills gained from attendance of Visual Basic Development course.

Working on a number of contracts for clients including IBM, National Power and Nortel.Typical responsibilities are demonstrated in the work for the National Power contract. These included the development of course materials, scripts for the rest of the training team to use in their delivery. On-site training and floor walking to support the users in their new environment.Design and delivery of customised training in response to customers needs. Usually ‘super user’ training for those individuals requiring a more in depth knowledge of the packages.
