Graham's primary objective working as a community and experiential advisor (CEA) at the Alzar school is to facilitate a strong and positive student experience throughout the academic semester. Alzar is a school that receives students for one semester, during which Alzar's goal is to train students to become leaders that positively impact the world while also providing a full academic course load. Students and faculty spend half of each semester in Idaho and the other half in southern Chile. Throughout the semester, CEA's enact this mission through programming focused on Alzar's six foundations (academics, leadership skills, outdoor adventure, environmental stewardship, service learning, and cultural exchange). Graham is responsible for primarily full day weekend programming, such as whitewater day trips, hikes, or outings with community partner organization. Additionally, CEA's, along with other staff, go on several week-long backcountry expeditions with students throughout the semester to further work on these foundations. The CEA position is also responsible for community safety and healthy residential life culture on campus, as Alzar is a boarding school. Show less

Over a ten-week internship, I analyzed larval fish survey data from 2009 to 2016 in the Gulf of Maine to find patterns in larval fish communities over time. This could have great implications on how adult fish communities may change in the Gulf of Maine and allow people to better understand what environmental factors in the ocean are driving a shift in marine ecological communities.
