Graham Robinson

Graham is one of the most capable technologists and architects I've worked with. He has an amazing in-depth knowledge across the banking spectrum from a technology point of view but more importantly how that translates to business outcomes for the banks and more importantly for their customers. He is able to operate and influence across all areas of a business and has exceptional communication skills, which combined with his intelligence and technical skills make him a formidable operator and one of the best and nicest people I've had the pleasure of working with. I learnt so much from him that still influences my thinking and execution of duties today.

Graham was my line manager. He was supportive in all matters work related, gave advice and steered me in the right direction. He was, and remains approachable friendly and open. I have sought advice from him on many occasions, whether for work issues or personal. He helped with a grievance issue I had at work, resulting in the outcome being in my favour. He also helped to increase my self confidence , resulting in a successful promotion application. If the opportunity arose, I wouldn't hesitate to work for him again.

HSBC is embracing APIs and encapsulating the banks features and functions into reusable APIs for everyone to use. I developed the retail bank’s first ever service domain model for APIs focused entirely through the lens of the customer and their needs, supporting the bank’s Digital first strategy. Enabled APIs to be treated as products with Business ownership, ensuring they encapsulate the customer need and business outcomes as part of their design.
