Gordon is a highly intelligent lawyer and a rising star in the Calgary Legal community. I have worked with Gordon for several years and he has always been one of the hardest working lawyers in each of the firm's he has worked with. He is very well liked by his colleagues and he is a good technical lawyer, but he has also developed an expertise in business development and I am certain he will be able to build his practice significantly as Calgary’s economy grows during the current recovery period.

Oasis Filter International Ltd. presents a new technology which will meet future water production demand in a sustainable, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner. The Oasis technology is innovative as the first slow sand filter to introduce cleaning by fluidizing only the top two layers under low pressure. Its ease of cleaning will establish the Oasis technology as the "Slow Sand Filtration for the 21st Century." In comparison to traditional slow sand filters, it has a greater range of water quality that may be treated at a community scale and it avoids the requirement of utilizing complex technologies. Oasis technology may be used in a much wider range of applications than traditional slow sand filters where the primary function is pathogen removal. The Oasis applications include removal of pathogens (parasites, bacteria and viruses), particulate (silt, clay and organics), iron (and iron bacteria), manganese, arsenic, fluoride, other heavy metals, dissolved organics, sulphur smell and other obnoxious gases, colour, foul taste, toxins and algae. The technology is a robust, easy to operate system, appropriate for both readily accessible and remote locations, either for surface or groundwater treatment. The significance of the operational characteristics is that they result in a more user friendly technology relative to available alternative technologies. User friendly translates into less expensive to operate and more reliable from the viewpoint of the novel applications that the Oasis technology creates for slow sand filtration which were not previously practical.
