  I was appointed the role of class representative during the time of my studies at Stellenbosch University. The role of a Class Representative is to be the link between the Students and Lecturers in order to make their Student Life as upcoming Engineers even more enjoyable.

  I spent my January holidays of 2023, on site extending a culvert with EMPA structures. During this period I was exposed to: Excavating: Clearing mud and inserting rockfill to create a drainage system. Rebar Cages: Reading off bending schedules and learnt how to assemble a steel cage. Quantity Surveying: Obtaining quantities we used on site, and calculate concrete volumes for casting day. Project management: The approaches that should be taken to get the most cost effective outcome Thank you to EMPA Structres for the great opportunity to expose me to the Civil engineering field.
