      I was employed as a cover keeper at Belfast Zoo, I worked with a multitude of different taxa on different sections including, gorillas, monkeys, birds, hoofstock, elephants, carnivores over my 8 years. My main areas of focus have been Asian elephants, and Rothschilds Giraffes, I have been fortunate to witness and work alongside the vets on numberous giraffe knockdowns for footcare and veterinary routines. I also performed footcare on 4 elderly Asian elephants, treating cracks, abscesses, and chronic nail infections.
