  Following Simpson & Marwick's merger with Clyde & Co. I am delighted to be part of their market-leading healthcare and professional indemnity teams. I head up our healthcare division in Scotland, representing doctors, dentists and other professionals in clinical negligence actions and in regulatory matters. I act in complex, high-value valuation litigation. I act for a broad swathe of professionals, from surveyors and valuers to accountants, actuaries and insurance brokers.   After a thorough training in civil litigation, I joined a team covering disease litigation and professional negligence - not an obvious combination. I spent several years specialising in disease: deafness, upper limb, asbestos conditions. I worked on historic abuse cases dating back decades, successfully defending then all the way to the House of Lords. I then brought that experience to bear a a solicitor advocate in high-value, highly complex disease litigation. I moved on to focus on representing professionals facing litigated claims, local complaints and regulatory investigation. I specialised particularly in doctors, dentists and surveyors.
