Lead on the development of activities to support the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) agenda in Dumfries and Galloway region. Responsible for co-ordinating and managing the programme , the key aim is to encourage and support employers to engage directly with schools and colleges; support employers to recruit more young people into their workforce and to invest in their career development. I am responsible for line managing the DYW team to achieve the indicators set out by the Scottish Government. My remit includes strategic planning and delivery, communications and marketing, reporting and governance, extensive liaison with businesses, education and local authority partners, event planning and budget management.
