As an intern at Alpha Design, I had the opportunity to apply my journalism education to the production of multimedia content for both internal and external clients. It was my responsibility to ensure that the content we created was new, original, and would help our clients achieve their goals. During my time at Alpha Design, I had the chance to innovate and experiment with new equipment to tell compelling stories in new and exciting ways. This was an incredibly rewarding experience, as I was able to see firsthand how our work could impact and inspire others. One of my main priorities was to consistently produce professional-level content that would satisfy our clients. This required a great deal of attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to excellence, but it was incredibly fulfilling to see the positive feedback we received from clients who were thrilled with the results. Finally, I also had the opportunity to assess and evaluate best practices for social media outreach for specific multimedia productions. This was a challenging task, but it allowed me to gain valuable insights into how different types of content can be optimized for various social media platforms. In short I can say that my experience at Alpha Design was incredibly rewarding, and it gave me the chance to apply my journalism education to real-world situations. I am grateful for the skills and experiences I gained during my time there, and I look forward to applying them to future opportunities in the industry. Show less

During my time at OurTown Reno, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Head Reporter for this well-respected news outlet in Reno, Nevada. As a journalist, my primary role was to interview subjects and gather relevant information to report on current events, social issues, and political trends affecting our community. I also had the chance to report live on air, delivering breaking news stories to our audience in real-time. This was an exciting and challenging aspect of my job, as I had to think on my feet and provide accurate and timely information to our viewers. In addition to traditional reporting methods, I also developed podcasts and managed social media posts, using these platforms to engage with our audience and keep them informed about the latest news and events in our city. I was responsible for following social and political trends, staying up-to-date with the latest developments, and writing engaging content to keep our readers informed and interested. To gather information for my stories, I had to be persistent and follow through on beat sources, contacts, and leads. I was always on the lookout for new and interesting stories, and I worked hard to establish strong relationships with key figures in the community. Finally, I also had the opportunity to use my photography skills to further engage our audience in our publications and social media channels. I photographed and edited professional images to accompany my stories, adding depth and visual interest to our reporting. Overall, my time at OurTown Reno was a challenging and rewarding experience, and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such a talented and dedicated team of journalists.
