  I executed the greenhouse manager's duties while the permanent manager was out on leave. I monitored the research plants for health problems daily and used integrated pest management practices to control pest populations. I helped professors prepare for experiments by purchasing required materials and propagating plants. I held a plant sale for ornamental plants also grown in the greenhouse.   I managed the Whitehead lab's safety procedures to ensure proper protocols were followed. Working from home I was able to assist on our labs meta analysis project and help plan for future projects. I transplanted, pruned, and spread new growth limbs in the lab's newly planted apple orchard.
