HE Officer
-
Aug 2016 - Jul 2019
• Organising and providing administrative support to the Higher Education Programmes Committee meetings and Quality meetings within the College. • Regularly attending external HE meetings and networks across the West Midlands region with other HE colleges and partner universities in order remain updated on any recent developments within the Higher Education sector, particularly with the new TEF framework being adopted by more and more HE providers. • Ongoing development of systems such as the admissions process and financial reporting, to ensure consistency across the College, in liaison with the College quality team. • Managing college-wide and course-level data as a key measure of performance for the College as a HE provider. I understand the importance of ensuring the data is as accurate as possible and reporting the data back to key regulatory bodies such as HEFCE, UCAS and QAA. • Supporting the students with any issues they might feel comfortable discussing with me. A big part of my role has been resolving issues related to Student Finance. This has often involved communicating with the students, Student Finance and relevant contacts at partner universities to ensure the student can receive their loan in a timely matter and avoid any negative impact on their studies. • Assisting the Marketing team with any events such as Graduation. Assisting with events such as Graduation is highly important in giving the students the most realistic ‘university experience’ possible. It is also a great chance for their friends and family to see the facilities at the College and celebrate all of their hard work. I also regularly report data to the Marketing team regarding new applications to the College, which is useful when identifying which courses we need to advertise more prominently. Show less
