Joined Radiance Realty in its initial phase and the whole F&A team was built around me through various references selected carefully keeping in mind the roles and responsibilities of key areas. In short all our documentation and book maintenance were above board and was completely transparent which was one of the reasons that we could come out clean at every instance. Have always been up to date in complying with filing of various returns on time. Established Banking facilities like Project Term Loan, land funding, Working capital requirement upto ₹ 300 Crore at the best rates from multiple banks and NBFCs. and maintained a very good relationship by servicing them, Interest and principle on time and ensuring the best rating at all points of time. Prior to Radiance assignment, I joined as Chief Manager – Finance & Accounts in DLF Southern Homes Pvt Ltd., a prestigious PAN India company in 2007 AR (Accounts Receivable) Accounting – Real Estate major forayed into South India including Chennai for the first time and were taking the market by storm. The projects announced by them were immediately up for the grabs since large base of clientele showed interest in them considering their vast background and financial strength. As a Head- AR Accounting, I was given the task of handling more than 1500 enthused customers and maintain everyone’s individual account which was done in a most scientific and silken like manner giving management at a glance the details of receivables at any given point of time. Specific to note that, my team contributed phenomenally to include this turnover for the year ended 2009, within a short span of time – Accounting 10% of collection and execution of Sale agreements with 25% of total sales from that project during that year as per AS 9. To aid in this, we had used a special ERP software called “RAMCO” virtual ERP. This was one of the toughest tasks since all the data through this software were to be incorporated and with the output obtained, the accuracy of the data had to be verified with the available software thus ensuring zero error. This was finally consolidated with the Head office accounts at Gurgaon for overall revenue recognition for the FY 2009. It is to be noted that this was done in a very time bound manner. Our team was also responsible for co-coordinating with headquarters in Gurgaon, NCR for new land acquisitions in Chennai. As part of this, we used to scrutinize the various land documentation like availability of proper due diligence from Advocates devoid of remarks, checking whether the land parcel is contiguous to the existing holding and type of land classification by verifying the village records. Prior to DLF, I was rendering services as Manager – Finance and Accounts in Jain Housing, a housing major from 1996 to 2007. This helped genuinely in reducing the company’s tax burden in their multifarious projects. Was responsible with other team members in increasing the turnover from a little over ₹ 20 crore p.a. to more than ₹ 200 crore p.a over a period of 7 years (From FY 2000 to FY 2007) Worked with various Banks and Financial Institutions like KVB, ICICI Bank and PNB in obtaining Term Loans, Overdraft, Bank Guarantee and other related project finance on a case to case basis thus improving the working capital position and in turn easing the cash-flow crunch. This was primarily responsible for scaling up of operations and this had given the management the required confidence to hunt for more projects. In brief, to evidence my caliber, I started my carrier in Executive- Accounts and have risen to the present position of General Manager – Finance purely portraying my caliber, quality, attitude, hard work, commitment and dedication and displaying team work at all points of time.
