I recently provided Mental Health First Aid Basic training to a group of senior students at Southpointe Academy in Tsawwassen, British Columbia. Gordon MacIntyre, Head of School, was my main contact there for arranging and delivery of the training. He had all the details for the efficient and effective delivery of the training taken care of well in advance. During the entire 12 hours of training he remained in the classroom with me to offer support to students who may have struggled emotionally with the content and to provide timely insight from his years of experience working with students, their parents and teachers.
