      Responsible for all aspects of production working with highly flammable gases, liquids and solids producing pharmaceuticals to tight timescales under cGMP and COSHH guidelines. The position involves self managed, self motivated teams on a 24 hour rotating shift pattern, using initiative with trouble shooting, problem solving and subsequent coordination of fitters, electricians, engineers to solve production problems. The production is hands on and follows safety/quality assessed PRS’S & SOP’S. The product lines are always changing and pipe work rigs reconfigured to suit the process. This can be done hands on or involving fitters/engineers. Using GENESIS for computer valve control when manual control is engineered out, experience of S.I.L loops and associated equipment. Good pressure tests are required when high pressure control is required. Permit to work (PTW) is the safety/hazard assessment system followed to ensure safe working systems. I issue and accept permits to work. I also work as the quality assurance representative for the team and ensure that SOP’S & PRS’s are improved for compliance. To achieve results coordination between different departments, Safety, Engineering, Research, Quality Assurance, Electrical, and Production are all vital and good communication along with good handovers are the key to success.
