Jamie is a dynamic, intelligent, compassionate, highly skilled professional; I had the pleasure to work with her at the University of Houston collaborating in diversity and inclusion matters. One of the best memories I have is watching Jamie discuss (during an orientation session at the University of Houston) the services that her department offers University students. Jamie offers her best in any capacity and I know the university community is a better space because of her passion and commitment.
Liz Elsen
Jamie and I worked together with the Texas Exes Pride Alumni Network, and she was an excellent communicator, a great event planner, and a wonderful colleague. I had the pleasure of meeting Jamie at The Creating Change Conference, and she's been an invaluable professional contact. We are now both working full time at LGBTQ Centers and work together on the Higher Education Pride Professional of Texas Org, as well as with the Consortium of LGBTQ Centers. She has been an amazing sounding board for me in the last few years and well as someone I turn to if I need help strategizing about fundraising, creating new programs or policies, or thinking about ways my University could improve its inclusiveness (University of Houston's Gender Inclusive Housing and Living and Learning Community is an inspiration!)
