  write "Insights by Goldie" monthly in PCC Sound Consumer; teach Walk, Talk & Taste classes to public and staff; 1973: joined Puget Consumers Co-op, (then 1 small store -- now largest and oldest in United States, 9 locations, 1000 members, founded in 1953) 1974 to 1979 served on PCC Board of Trustees; 1983: started as nutrition education manager at PCC; founded the PCC cooking school (now PCC Cooks). 2001: accepted appointment to the USDA's National Organic Standards Board (2001 to 2006). Since 1990s: WSDA organic advisory board; Provender Alliance Board; national Organic Trade Association. CURENTTLY: Cornucopia Institute Board; WSU/WSDA Small Farms, Direct Marketing Board; Cascade Harvest Board PCC Farmland Trust Board, (directing the only national land trust, we believe, that is dedicated to preserving organic farmland exclusively). 1983: founded cooking school (previously known as FoodWorks!) for PCC Natural Markets.
