Page's Resort Group now has two properties on Gabriola Island, both over looking stunning Silva Bay. Page's Resort & Marina offers secluded, fully equipped seaside cottages, a pristine campground surrounded by forests and offering ocean views, a full service marina providing quiet nightly moorage, a book and marine charts store that features local authors as well as the best of marine publications and our mountain bike & kayak rental store. Page's Inn on Silva Bay offers large suites with kitchen or kitchenettes and large deck and lawn looking right out over the marina to the bay. A beautiful meeting room that will distract your group with its view. Perfect for a retreat - to engage, develop and plan. New this year a food truck and art gallery have been created at the Inn. Whether you arrive by land, sea or air (direct to our docks), you will enjoy such memorable island activities as spectacular kayaking and sailing, incredible diving and fishing, scenic hiking and cycling, a challenging game of golf or just relaxing with a book in our picnic grounds and gardens. I would love if you would come and visit! Show less

  • Gabriola Island Chamber of Commerce
    • #6 - 480 North Road, Gabriola BC, V0R 1X0
    • Past President
      • 2012 - 2023

Established in 1984, the Gabriola Island Chamber of Commerce is made up of a diverse group of entrepreneurs and family-owned enterprises working together for the common good of our island community. We do this by providing services, support and networking opportunities for businesses to succeed. The Chamber is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the members. These Directors sit on a wide variety of committees so that the Gabriola business community will be represented in the decisions being made for our island. The Chamber also employs two professional contract staff. The work of the Chamber is carried out by our staff, volunteer committees, and task forces. The Gabriola Chamber receives a small operations grant from Destination BC for the Gabriola Visitor Centre and otherwise relies solely on membership dues and other fundraising events to support its activities. Especially for people who are downtown, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is the friendly and hardworking host that improves the perception of downtown by providing a welcoming environment, keeping things clean and safe, and advocating for continuous and positive change. Established in 1989 by the City of Winnipeg, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is the oldest of Winnipeg’s 16 business improvement zones. Directed by a management board of 15 business owners/leaders and a representative from city hall – elected by our members at our annual general meeting – the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ markets the city centre on behalf of 1,300 businesses and runs programs and provides services that target downtown image, cleanliness, safety, transportation, and parking. We also host events and promote downtown as a great place to work, shop, and live. In addition, the BIZ is the voice of the downtown business community and advocates for continued downtown revitalization and enhanced services on behalf of our members. We work with all levels of government to better our downtown. Every retail, commercial and professional business in the zone is a BIZ member. Show less
