Chapter W is a non-profit enterprise that adopts a social innovation model to empower rural women in Indonesia. We have create jobs for over 100 rural women in Indonesia in remote villages in Western and Eastern Indonesia. Known as Ibu Rumah Terang or Mothers of Light, these women introduce solar lamps to over 50,000 individuals living in off-grid communities. The project was recognized as part of UNFCCC Climate Action Momentum for Change initiative. -Worked alongside the ED to grow a network of strategic partners including corporate sponsors, social impact investors and umbrella bodies in Singapore and Indonesia -Successfully secured seed funding, mentorship and resources through investor pitches and global start-up competitions such as the JetStar Flying Start Grant 2016, Startup@Singapore 2014, Global Social Venture Competition 2013 and UN Women Mastercard Project Inspire 2012, from inception to early growth stage -Responsible to raise the startup profile in various high-level international public speaking engagements and media profiles Show less
