Involved in invasive emergency Zika mosquito surveillance programs in South Florida of Miami to Homestead.• Conducted field surveys for Zika mosquito by placing, servicing, monitoring, and relocating mosquito traps according to the mosquito program guide.• Collected, maintained and organized daily mosquito survey data by use of IPAD, and the mosquito database system.• Inspected surveyed, and located program survey locations for the presence of Zika mosquito by use of trap and GPS mapping system.• Navigated in and through unfamiliar survey locations as well as constructed printed map diagrams for new survey locations.• Determined the presence and extent of mosquito caused by rashes, bites and illness.• Directed and conducted approved control eradication measures such as Vectobac, Biomist and trapactivities.• Enforced State regulatory order which restricts the use of standing water in pools, buckets, tires.• Served as a regulatory agent to apply State quarantine regulations to the regulated entities including monitoring for proper actions, treatments, and elimination of quarantine pests from regulated properties following emergency program guidelines.• Conducted Zika survey operations during the emergency Zika mosquito program in Miami-Dade 2016- 2017• Properly handled restricted use chemicals according to the Standard Operating Procedure Safety Data Sheets.

Participate fully in regulatory activities of mosquito control; diseases such as Zika from spreading through the environment and residential areas. Implemented activities such as planning, scheduling, and coordinating survey and control measures within the Miami and Homestead areas by conducting site visits to developed and undeveloped mosquito locations.• Inspects and surveys properties (homes, farms, rangeland, nurseries, schools, etc.) for the presence of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus.• Determines the presence and extent of infection and transmission.• Directs and/or conducts approved control and eradication measures including sanitation measures, biological controls, and the application of herbicide, insecticides, and adulticide in proper portions or dosages.• Enforces State quarantines and regulator orders which restrict movement in regulated areas.• Maintains daily records of inspection work, control measures and regulatory procedures applied.
