I am involved with the creation and approval of test plans, test protocols and test reports as well as overseeing product testing by other people within the Design R & D department. I have the support of a Test Engineer who reports to me and assists me in the product testing and reporting activities. I am responsible for the verification and validation activities on new or existing products against the design requirements and engineering change notes. Before any testing is completed the parts being tested would need to be inspected by myself, or I would verify any supplier reports prior to testing. I liaise with suppliers taking them through the approval process, verify and approve their production samples dimensional and mechanically and review of PFMEA and Control Plans.
