The Senior Analyst Programmer role involved designing and building various system enhancements ranging from small items up to large Enterprise Releases. I was responsible for technical design, developement, test support and implementation & support activities. This role grew to include some Business / Systems Analyst activities such as functional design and requirements analysis. The Technical Lead role saw me oversee and coordinate the technical activities involving the migration of clients from a legacy system to a new target architecture (a $200m long term project). My responsibilities involved technical design of the legacy migration solution, coordination with surrounding system stakeholders to ensure no negative impacts would occur, day to day management and allocation of tasks to the Analyst Programmers working on the legacy system solution. The Data Migration Analyst role involved maintaining the master migration workflow details, analysing, enhancing and streamlining the data warehouse extracts, redesigning data cleansing processes for better performance and active involvement in the migration implementation. Achievements include: • Rapidly adapted to the new business environment and systems • Led the Transition State legacy platform technical team • Designed and implemented a Transition State solution with no defects reported during a transition period of 3 months • Ensured the solution was compatible with surrounding systems and business processes • Successfully transferred client investments totalling in excess of $20 billion • Nominated by my peers for an IT award • Developed a solid understanding of the Australian Financial Services and Superannuation environment • Involved in the design and development of data migration functionality • Supported go-live migration activities Show less

I was involved with the delivery of software solutions for a mobile telecoms Billing and Customer Care system supporting call center and billing functionality. It was a high throughput, 23/7 system which had an approximate daily user base of 900 and interfaced with more than 30 surrounding systems. My responsibilities included liaising with business process owners to analyse & document business processes and workflows, identifying business requirements and providing advice to the business around issues and possible solutions. I also prepared estimates, produced design specifications from business requirements, developed software from design documents to in-house standards, performed unit testing and configuration management of software releases, supported system and acceptance testers both at technical and business levels, performed software upgrades to the production environment and assisted with post production issues when necessary. Achievements include: • Implemented various large projects including a full re-write of the billing functionality core • Designed and implemented a Telematics solution which alleviated performance issues related to the mass provisioning of network services improving transactional throughput by over 100% • Implemented a bulk processing suite of functionality which gave large efficiency gains to the organisation allowing a single user to apply multiple actions against a list of subscribers instead of manually processing them one by one • Co-developed a configuration management suite of functionality which improved efficiency in the existing SDLC processes • Developed a suite of technical interview questions • Co-developed coding standards and performance documentation • Co-developed an automated QA source code checker to compliment the coding standards Show less
