I had the pleasure of working with Glen over a period of several years at AMD/Spansion/Cypress. He was a great team member and we were able to coordinate activities on the manufacturing floor in ways that improved efficiency, effectiveness and productivity. We shared insight into issues, shared personnel during key moments and shared ideas when problems required a team approach. He is effective in managing his team and empathetic to individual needs while focused on accomplishing productivity goals. He is extremely knowledgeable in continuous improvement techniques and always focused on process improvement. Glen is a tremendous asset to the team!

Instituted a culture of manufacturing excellence while providing operational leadership for the A-shift Diffusion/Implant team in Fab 25. Spansion merged with Cypress Semiconductor in March 2015. Managed daily operations to achieve business goals for a Fab that generally ran low volume/high mix products. Drove a culture of accountability by encouraging staff to hold each other accountable for their actions instead of relying solely on management oversight. Managed the introduction of various lean manufacturing concepts to meet production demands with 25% fewer resources. Served as a module spokesman for various ISO/UL audits and as a Fab representative for customer visits. Set the standard for Diffusion operational metrics.

Managed and developed high performing employees and teams in Fab15 & Fab 25. Areas included Photolithography, Etch, Diffusion and Implant. Served in various capacities (instructor, course developer, etc.) during AMD’s Journey to Excellence. During tenure as Shift Facilitator for Fab 25 our activities increased, cycle time decreased and it became normal to meet weekly ship forecasts.
