  For ten years, I owned and operated the largest comic book store in Flagler County. As the owner of Nerdz Comics and More, my responsibilities of managing the day-to-day operations included, Amazon ecommerce, coordinating with retail account managers, tracking budgets, inventories, and projections through the use of MS Office, traditional as well as digital and guerilla marketing. I am very proud of the fact that I achieved continued sales growth year after year for ten years in a recessionary economy. In May of 2015 my store held an event that attracted over one thousand people. During my time as owner of Nerdz I also wrote a column for Flagler/Volusia Parent Magazine, about the state of the comic book industry and what parents could do to help foster reading for their children. I sold the store in 2016 to pursue other interests and opportunities. Show less
