  Launched in September 2008, Givology (https://www.givology.org/) is an online giving marketplace for education that supports student scholarships and grassroots education projects in the developing world. As a P2P community, Givology partners with NGOs and schools throughout the world to bridge the gap between Internet donors and students and villages in need. Givology democratizes philanthropy by introducing choice, transparency, and information sharing in education. Since Givology's launch, over 97,000 registered donors have collectively contributed over $680,000 to 300 students and over 100 projects. Givology has also formed partnerships with 67 worldwide organizations, formed university chapters throughout the world, and sent fellows into rural villages to research issues in access to and quality of education.
