The internship was focused on the evaluation of the antagonistic ability of two bacterial isolates against four fungal isolates belonging to Fusarium genus, the etiological agents of Fusarium Head Blight (FHB), by volatile metabolites and diffusible metabolites tests. Additionally, the combined use between the two bacterial isolates and one fungal isolate of Trichoderma genus (a known biocontrol agent) has been tested. The internship was aimed at writing the Bachelor's Degree thesis in ''Agricultural Science and Technology'' (University of Foggia). The main activities were: phenotyping of six traits related to spikes in Triticum durum; statistical analysis (ANOVA) of collected data; QTL (Quantitative Trait Loci) analysis by using the CIM (Composite Interval Mapping) method; bibliographic research of new QTLs.
