I was part of the Online Academic English tutor team that worked with international students from a variety backgrounds and nationalities. I helped to teach an academic English language skills through Zoom platform and virtual learning platforms such as Canvas, and Microsoft teams. I worked with students individually and in small groups, coaching and guiding students in academic listening, reading & writing, speaking and presentation skills. I aided and helped to deliver communication classes to merged and blended groups of students. I monitored students' progress and met them for individual tutorials in order to support and guide their online learning experience and overall well being. To diversify and enhance the online learning environment, a variety of virtual learning tools were used such as Padlet, Google documents, Whiteboards and Annotations. In addition, I taught personalised General English classes and helped students to prepare for their IELTS exams (Level 4 and above). I used and adapted National Geographic learning materials from ‘Life’ series and varied customised resources. In addition to leading and presenting the academic material I encouraged strong personal contact with students in order to help them develop and achieve their full potential in the most inclusive environment. In addition, I helped to lead English culture sessions to visiting students from China at Swansea University. I had to design and deliver an exciting material that would spark students’ interest and imagination and would help them to understand and learn more about British way of life. I had an opportunity to teach variety of levels (Pre-intermediate to Upper-intermediate) and backgrounds of International students from ten different countries. Within the scope of the program I had privilege to teach groups of students from China, Japan, Spain and variety of European countries from variety of age groups with the youngest being 16 years old and the oldest person being 65 years of age. I utilised materials that were prepared by the course coordinator and supplemented them with relevant activities to ensure the most effective delivery of the material and the topic taught ensuring the greatest progress in the students learning process. I supervised students on their trips and excursions to various places of interest around Swansea and Wales and on a variety of activity days, such as high ropes ‘Go Ape’ and team building activities. I constantly and meticulously liaised with other tutors in order to provide continuous and consistent service to all the students in the shared classroom environment. I kept all the work and attendance records updated thus helping the team with the overall administrative duties. I was part of a teaching team in a lively Montessori school in Swansea, United Kingdom. I shared responsibilities with other teachers and assistants looking after children in different age groups. Initially I worked in Baby Room with children from 3 moths - 18 months old. A year later I helped to set up and open first Toddler Room at the nursery and I was excited to work there and look after 18 months – 30 months old children. Later, my expertise was needed with older children at the nursery, so I was invited to look after and care for two and a half to six-year-old children. Throughout all these age groups I observed children to detect their interests and needs. I designed or provided activities that sparked their imagination, supported their interests and developed them holistically. I presented materials, looked after the environment in the classrooms, led music and story time activities, supervised children during their lunch time. In addition, I took part in “Sustainability through Creativity” project devising arts and crafts activities with children exploring recycled materials.
