Liaising with potential industrial partners and management of the contracted works related to polymer/composite processing R&D. Support to the research activities of Nanoforce and the School of Engineering and Materials Science of Queen Mary University of London by undertaking experimental research in order to advance knowledge, understanding and expertise in the processing and characterisation of polymer, composite and nanocomposite materials. Dissemination of the work in the scientific literature, conferences, technical magazines and patents, when appropriate. The research investigations are performed in collaboration with and under the supervision of Prof T. Peijs and Dr E. Bilotti. The work includes materials formulation, twin-screw compounding, extrusion, film-blowing, mono- and multi-filament spinning, solid-state drawing, injection moulding, compression moulding, coating, 3D printing and comprehensive characterisation of the materials produced.
