It takes great fortune and luck to have an opportunity to work with an leader like Gino. This is my second tenure with Gino. Both tenures have been very high impact. …all attributable to Gino's amazing mentoring and leadership. Amongst Gino's many amazing qualities, there are three very distinguishing characteristics First is Gino's on-the-ground leadership. He has a deep understanding of retail banking, analytics and AI, and a keen sense of how to drive it in an organization. There are times when he is down in the trenches with us, late in the night and early mornings, poring over numbers, code and helping architect a story. With Gino, there is no 'analysis paralysis' and never a dull moment. It's all about implementing analytics and AI , and putting money on the table…and doing it at a lightning speed. Second, his transformative vision. Gino has the unique ability to identify the best and cutting edge in analytics and then drive it within an organization. He shares an extraordinary vision for the future with the team and the organization, and then makes it happen. And I have seen him do this more than once. Third and possibly Gino's greatest strength is his genuine care for his team members. Gino cares deeply for all his team members as a person. His patience and empathy is amazing and it's a joy to work for him. Gino is a true practitioner of the art, with exceptional analytics prowess and amazing leadership values. Very rare combination in today's world. After two decades in the field….while working with Gino, I realize how much more I have to learn. ..and hope to work with him for a long time to come.

Gino was the Engagement Director of the client that I worked for. He was also my direct supervisor, and more than which a mentor that helped shape my career. He is highly knowledgeable in the field of Retail Banking and relevant Marketing Analytics strategies. Although I can continue writing about his numerous capabilities, I wish to share my personal experiences with Gino and how they helped me in establishing the career objectives I have begun pursuing. Back in the days, when I had limited exposure to predicting product cross-sell in the field of Retail Banking, Gino believed that my experience in statistical modeling would make me an apt fit. Hence, I commenced my journey in Banking Analytics. While Gino provided immense help in successfully delivering my first project, he prepared me to take upon projects that ensued, by myself and solve the challenges that I faced. The biggest test I encountered was my lack of banking domain knowledge. Gino helped me blend together adequate proportions of my modeling capabilities along with an understanding of the banking sphere. Our greatest success story was that of a Loan Sales Predictive Model that beat the in-house models of an overseas client present in a geography where we practically had no prior experience. His continuous guidance over a year enabled me to graduate from an individual contributor to a team lead. He not only enabled me to manage teams and unleash my potential but also encouraged me to venture into the Digital Marketing domain. Looking back at the timeline of events, I feel very fortunate to have worked in Gino’s teams. I owe my present-day success, accomplishments and the belief the I developed in my potential to Gino and the time he invested in me to reinforce my prowess.
