I have crossed paths with Ginny many times, initially in the late 2000's when Ginny was leading the Dance Partnership and Access programme for the Royal Ballet School. I was the Dance Teacher/Community Arts Practitioner at the large secondary school in Blackpool where a partnership was established. I was always hugely inspired and impressed by Ginny's ability to work to such a high standard, and in a way which made the pupils feel comfortable and valued - this enabled the young people to realise their potential and many of them have gone on to a career in dance. More recently, I have worked with Ginny in her role as CEO of the ISTD. She is a dynamic, pragmatic, and caring leader who takes responsibility for the organisation and the needs of its' staff, members, and students. Her calm nature and passion for access and inclusion are driving the organisation forwards to ensure it remains a world leading, and world class society.
