Gillian Ani was my IB Diploma Theatre Arts teacher from 2008-2010. She is easily lauded for her energy, knowledge and passion for her profession. In and out of the classroom, she is easily one of the most compassionate and enthusiastic educators I've experienced. However, I will always be grateful to Ms. Ani for being a teacher who held me completely accountable for my work; As someone who performs well in institutionalized education, she consistently challenged and inspired me. There was no way to shortcut a piece, whether it be as minor as a journal entry or as major an internal assessment. Four years on from having been in her class, it is this sense of responsibility she instilled within me--that pride in what you are doing, and how you are doing it-- is what has stayed with me. Any student would benefit greatly from having her as a teacher.

Gillian is one of the best educators I know and she has more passion than any theater teacher you will ever meet.
