Interviewed, hired, and supervised three coordinators, ten foremen, and 34 staff for the camper conservation program at Philmont. The camper conservation directly leads and educates ~26,000 volunteers in various conservation work over the course of three months including forest fuels reduction, trail building, maintenance, and restoration, and stream restoration. Worked in conjunction with other programs including the Forest Service and the Cimarron Watershed Alliance to facilitate projects.

Interviewed, hired, and supervised 41 conservation staff members in various programs including trail and forestry crews. Managed small-scale HR within the department. Planned and implemented week long department wide training at the beginning of each season. Coordinated volunteer programs that included up to 40 participants for courses of up to 28 days. Interviewed and hired over 100 conservation staff for the upcoming summer season. Assisted in rewriting and formatting the department’s field manual, a 200+ page document.

Designed and maintained large-scale backcountry conservation projects, facilitated project planning and completion, and advised staff assigned to those projects.
