- AIDS-Free World's Code Blue Campaign aims to end impunity for sexual exploitation and abuse by UN peacekeeping personnel. I led the communications & advocacy strategy for the campaign, was in charge of media relations, built the Code Blue website, wrote and produced materials and statements, took part in high-level strategy meetings (at Chatham House, in the The Hague & at a week-long session at McGill University, among others), organized press events (including a high-profile launch at the Ford Foundation in New York), produced videos, and drafted fundraising proposals — including one to the Dutch Postcode Lottery that received €2.5 million in funding. I also played a key policy and advocacy role for Code Blue, helping to craft the overall campaign strategy, meeting with Permanent Representatives to the UN, senior UN officials, and other key stakeholders.
